HYPERSTATE

EVM L1 with direct Bitcoin capabilities, designed for bridgeless, native applications.

Launching mainnet Q1, 2025.

Core Features

Programmable Native BTC

Built-in read/write capabilities with Bitcoin allow smart contracts to create and use BTC UTXOs.

Works With Bitcoin Today

Operates without requiring upgrades to Bitcoin (e.g. OP_CAT, BitVM).

Unstoppable BTC Apps

Censorship resistant apps that work with any Bitcoin and EVM web3 wallets (XVerse, Unisat, Magic Eden, Phantom, and more).

Fairly Launched

At launch, anyone can claim the Hyperstate gas token, $HS, to use on the network and stake to earn more $HS.

Get Involved

Run A Node

Hyperstate nodes run the HyperstateEVM and a Bitcoin light client. Run a node in under 10 minutes and contribute to the network.

What

Hyperstate is an EVM-compatible blockchain designed to enhance Bitcoin's programmability. By introducing network validator-level bindings to Bitcoin Core and precompile-based VM extensions, it enables smart contract interactions with BTC, Runes, and Ordinals. Leveraging Ethereum mainnet's pooled security, Hyperstate provides a novel infrastructure for executing contracts and interacting with Bitcoin-native assets beyond traditional value transfer.

Why

Bitcoin stands as the world's most secure digital asset, yet its potential remains constrained. Despite securing unprecedented global economic value, Bitcoin's utility is largely limited to storage and basic transfer of value. This fundamental limitation stems from Bitcoin's lack of a programmable virtual machine. Hyperstate aims to address this through two key objectives:

1. Add programmability to Bitcoin, making it easy to build advanced applications with native BTC.

2. Have the simplest UX, without giving up custody bridging or wrapping BTC, or requiring new upgrades to Bitcoin.

Architecture

Hyperstate extends the EVM with specialized VM extensions to Bitcoin, enabling seamless interaction with Bitcoin-native assets with requiring the use of bridges, wrappers, or other custodial versions of Bitcoin.
